About Simon Leech:
Simon Leech is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional with a specialisation in Security Architecture (CISSP- ISSAP), Certified in Cloud Security Knowledge (CCSK), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and employed within the WW Security Center of Excellence in HPE Pointnext Advisory and Professional Services.
Mr Leech joined 3Com/TippingPoint in 2007 to run the presales organisation across EMEA, and moved into HP in 2010 after 3Com was acquired by HP. During his time at HP and HPE, Mr Leech has led the Enterprise Security Products presales organization in EMEA, the Data Center Architects competitive team, and worked as Chief Technologist Security in the Hybrid IT team and the Digital Solutions and Transformation team.
Prior to joining HP, Mr Leech had spent the previous 10 years in various positions at McAfee, gaining an in-depth knowledge of Intrusion Prevention Systems and security products in general.
He has travelled extensively across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), and is a recognised and respected speaker at seminars across the region on many aspects of IT (network) security. Mr Leech has also authored the HPE Hybrid Cloud Security for Dummies, various blogs and vlogs, and is a regular contributor to industry publications.
Within Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Mr Leech is responsible for influencing and evangelising the strategy of the WW Security Center of Excellence. This includes developing security solutions based upon both Hewlett Packard Enterprise market leading products, as well as carefully selected third party solutions, combined with a best-practice-driven services-led approach to secure business transformation. This helps provide enterprise customers with both an understanding of the risks involved in migrating to a business-led IT environment, as well as a practical approach to address those risks.
Additionally, Mr Leech is well versed in many areas of IT security, including network security, malware, cyber threats, vulnerability management, SDDC security, container security, and cloud security risks.
Mr Leech is a graduate of Royal Holloway, University of London and holds a BA (Hons) in German and Management Studies.
